Alice Louise Walton is an American heiress to the fortune of Walmart. In September 2016, she owned over US $11 billion (85,923.75 Crore) in Walmart shares. As of March 2022, Walton has a net worth of $5,660 Crores (4.4 lakh Crore), making her the 20th-richest person, and the 2nd  richest woman in the world according to Bloomberg Billionaire Index.


Alice Louise Walton is the youngest child and only daughter of Sam Walton founder of Walmart and his wife Helen Walton she was born on 7th October 1949 in Newport, Arkansas, U.S. and was raised along with her three brothers in Betonville, Arkansas, U.S. Alice attended the Betonville High School in 1966 and later graduated with B.A. in economics and finance from The Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, U.S. in 1971. Thereafter she walked briefly with Walmart as a buyer of children’s clothes Alice who painted with her mother as a child began at collecting at age of 11 when she purchased a 25 cent(₹17.80) print of Picasso’s blue nude that she paid for we had five weeks earnings from selling popcorn outside on the sidewalk Alice got mired at the age of 24 to Louisiana investment banker 1974 but their marriage lasted only 2 ½ years, she then married her swimming pool contractor soon after but has also led to a quick divorce Alice has been involved in a series of accidents with one being fatal in 1983 she lost control of a jeepney Acapulco that led to her receiving over two dozen surgeries after she shattered her leg and still suffers some pain from the injuries she struck a 50 year old woman or latter Harden in April 1989 eyewitnesses stated that though the woman stepped onto the fire Vail Arkansas Road. Alice was speeding but no charges were filed at the death of the woman also she was charged and fine $925(₹72k) for driving under the influence of alcohol in 1998. Alice worked at a few other places as an equity analyst and money manager for the 1st commerce co-operation she had at Arvest Bank investment activities and was a broker for EF Houghton she then founded the Llama company and investment company in 1988 where she served as president CEO and chairwoman although she is more concerned on creating arts rather than working for Walmart she was the first chairperson for the Northwest Arkansan Council playing a major role in development of its Regional Airport  by donating initial funding of $15 millions (₹117 Crore)  and later her company Llama donated $79.5 million(₹622 Crore) bond the airport authorities the terminal of the Northwest Arkansas council was named the Alice L Walton terminal building but Llama corporation closed down in late 1990s. Alice who is an avid lover of horses moved to a ranch in Millsap, Texas, U.S. named Walton’s Rocking W Ranch in 1998 and has an eye for choosing which horse would grow to become a champion from when its’ two months old in 2015 she put up the Ranch for sale and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, U.S. to focus on her art work with a concentration on building her Arkansas’s art museum which she founded in 2011.



In 2004 she purchased artwork from Daniel Fraad & Rita Fraad collections at Sotheby’s in New York but later she sold to the artwork. In 2005 she purchased the celebrated Kindred Spirits painting by Asher Brown Durand for the $5 millions (₹39.16 Crore) also in the collection of her arts purchases are George Washington’s portrait Charles Willson Peale. Norman Rockwell’s “Rosie the Riveter” for $4.9 millions (₹38.37 Crore) and the works of American painter Edward Hopper and Winslow Hama in an attempt to quit smoking she purchased the painting reminiscent of Tom’s single sciences earlier painting Tom Wasselmann titled Smoker Number 9 the painting depicting a hyper-realistic design, disembodied hand and mouth smoking a cigarette serves as an inspiration in the same year Alice was the 20th largest individual to contribute 547 committees in the U.S. presidential election donating $2.6 million (₹20.36 Crore) also contributing $200k (₹1.5 Crore) to Restore Our Future which was associated with Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign and despite being a member of the Republican family Alice donated $353,400 (₹2.7 Crore) to Hillary Victory Fund which supported Clinton and other Democrats in 2016. Alice love and interest in art let to the development and opening of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas,  U.S. in 2011 by the Walton family foundation the vision features works from various painters including Andy Warhol, Norman Rockwell and Mark Rothko in an interview she spoke of acquiring several great works by other artists and mentioned Marsden Hartley as one of her favourites she often grant tours to locals at the museum who have no idea who she is on a 62nd birthday Alice got arrested after refusing to take a  breathalyzer she spent a night in jail but charges were dropped after her mugshot had been taken and spread across the internet she did however take responsibility for her actions in arrest statement issued and expressed her regrets. Alice is what’s $3.5 billion (27,418 Crore) which she and mostly from her shares in her late father’s retail company making her the second richest woman in America and she was also added to the list of world’s 10 most important art collectors by art news.
