The Story of The ORACLE

How much customers needed to make billions of revenue annually millions of customers or much more but if told there is a company whose client base is than 1 million and make huge profit each year and the company name is ORACLE which was mainly founded by LARRY ELLISON and we are going to know how he made his fortune from less customer base but through the implication of project after getting done too many things in life.

Let's learn more about him in detail from childhood to the CEO of the biggest technology (tech) company.

Mr. Larry Ellison who was born on August-17-1944 and bought up in the South Side of the Chicago, United States. When he was 9 months old suffered from Pneumonia but soon he recovered from that health issue and managed to get well very soon. He grew in life and learn so many things when he reached his age at 21 everyone wants him to be a Doctor but he was not interested that much so he dropped his college and went to the Brooklyn, California, United States. In 1960s the people in Brooklyn are against the Vietnam War where he joined Sierra Clu and become the environmentalist & worked as a river guide, rock climbing instructor but he was not paid much well.

As a enviromentalist he learned and too much from people who arrive there and experiment many different activites also he observed & feel to the nature & it's beauty very closely which enhanced his enlightnment towards the enviroment which clean his mind from different thoughts then he started to live in the present moment and make better decisions. But due to the monthly payment which he got was not much satisfactory then he quit his job.

Later he joined a company called Ampex in 1973 as a programmer. He did not love to that job but as a programmer this job was good for him and bring to the fun in the job. Because earlier in his life he was good to play the chees & solving to the Mathematics (Maths) problems which bring him more interested towards the programming which bring fun to him during his job. As a programmer in the Ampex he got research paper which was related to the database where the IBM company was not interested in that database idea but Mr. Larry Ellison saw biggest upcoming opportunity in the future. So, he decided to start a company whose name after discussion considered as Software Development Laboratories in 1979 with Lorence Joseph, Ed Qates & Bob Miner. Where firstly he launched database product to whom they called ORACLE and it was the first SQL based relational database system. After launching it company started to attract many clients & in 1982 they officially changed to the company name Oracle Systems Corporation but this period of time Bob Miner left to the Oracle but Mr. Larry Ellison kept to the company's foundation and represent it as a strong database company. The main motive to create an Oracle was to create a perfect job for him whose environment he can fully control.

The year-after-year company was making profits and that profit was higher than the previous year soon they decided to go publicly and the Oracle shared listed on stock exchange at the price of $15 where he raised nearly $194 Millions in 1987. After so many efforts the Oracle became the world largest database company but they are not satisfied here so they decided to launch their new idea which was the NC or Network Computer where the things done in the Oracle network.

In 1990s the Oracle's competitor arrived and the name was Informix but in 1997 the Informix adjust in the scandal & Oracle got an opportunity to done marketing & through acquisition where they decided to acquire Sun Microsystem that is the company who developed the Java language and MySQL. So Oracle bought that company in $7.4 billions.

After so many years being in the company Mr. Larry Ellison steped down from the post of the CEO in 2024 where he served 37 years of his life & still now he owns upto 35% stake of the company. He is also own the Yacht racing team where he is also the board member of the Tesla (Automobile company).

The Oracle customer base is less but the revenue is very high because the Oracle's services are used by the Multinational Corporations (MNCs) & big companies. All from his life we can learn that you can make your fortune & the biggest company from an idea from someone or from anywhere which rejected by the biggest player in that sector still you can make money & execute to that idea into the biggest company by being knowledgable about the sector & need, continuing research & the team.
